Pomegranate (Jake X Reader)

You stared at yourself in the mirror, a slight red blush dusting over the makeup on your cheeks. Your (hl) (hc) was set down, albite slightly fluffed up to add volume, and a light green flower was resting on your ear. Green eye shadow gave away to a silver and a small line of black had been brushed under both your eyes, ending in a slight curve near the corners of your eyes.  You had chosen the pomegranate lip gloss, which added just lightest bit of red to your pink lips.

You examined the outfit she had made for you, noting the constant greens that bordered on the top of the heart shaped strapless dress. There was a nice silk band that tied around your waist  and hung down in two loose waves in behind. The dress stopped at your knees, with another green band covering the white that made up most of the dress. A light see through fabric tinted green covered the inside and stopped just a little bit below the knee.All in all it hugged tightly to you, up until the band where it hung a bit looser on you figure. Kanaya handed you a pair of green flats to go with the dress and smiled to herself.

The jade blood then took out her phone and signaled for you to pose. After you had done so, a flash was sent, she then showed you a picture of yourself. You gasped a little bit, you looked so much better than normal, it was actually rather hard to believe it was you, excepting the visual similarities between shape and eyes, the such. Kanaya then proceeded to edit the photo to add to her portfolio, or so you thought. In reality she had begun texting Jake, the one you felt red for no less.

GT: Well golly i sure hope she does! Iv been looking forward to this for a very long time!

GT: For such a beautiful young gal to even enjoy my company its a goshdarn miracle! I really must thank you for gussying me up before hand. I want to look my best for ______ when i...

GT:  You know...

GT: Confess...

GA: It Was Nothing Jake, But I Do Appreciate The Thankings. There Is No Need To Worry, I Know You Two Are Very Close, And It Does Seem She Reciprocates Your Feelings. I Think It Would Be Best To Come And Pick Her Up Now Though. She Seems To Be Getting A Little Uncomfortable Being So Dressed Up With “ No Where To Go “

GT: Alright! Thank you again for the help ol’ pal! I should be there in no time! Goodbye Kanaya!

GA: Goodbye Jake, Please Do hurry.

You sigh and stare at your moirail,  her quiet giggles only made you feel more like she was planing something. You could see her eyes light up when she did something, you where unsure as to what it would be. You could wait until she was done to ask about the dress, but it didn’t seem like she would finish any time soon.

“ Kan can I take this off now? Im getting a little uncomfortable being all prettied up and having nothing to do...”

“ Not Just Yet ______ I Still Need To Make Sure I Have Gotten Everything Down In Notes”

“Cant you do that while im not wearing all this?” You moan, but she only nods her head, telling you that you wouldn’t be taking it off any time soon if you keep pestering her about it. Just then a knocking came from the front door. In a matter of moments a very handsome Jake English has walked in along side a raging Karkat. Kanaya shoves the cancer troll out and leaves with him, giggling to herself like before.

You study the new person in the room with you. He was wearing a nice green tuxedo jacket, albite unbuttoned, revealing the white dress shirt underneath. He wore long black pants, and a pair of dress shoes that matched his jacket. You blushed slightly as he caught you staring at him before you stammered out a question.


“I-i..... Uh.... Hi Jake.... W-Whats the occasion... Im assuming it has something t-to do with Kanaya getting me all... Err ... Dressed up”


Now it was his turn to blush. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously and forced his voice to calm.

“ Well... You and i are great pals _____ and since its my birthday, Kanaya wanted to do something special. Gosh... She arranged a... Err.... Surprise date for the two of us. Apparently we have some reservation for an fancy restaurant. So... Uh... If its not too much to ask, would you do me the pleasure of accompanying me?”

By the time he was done rambling he was a blushing mess, tugging at his shirt a bit, fiddling his thumbs and all the likes. You on the other hand where mentally face palming. You where so stupid! Did you really fall for this! She was your moirail, you should know she doesn’t just dress you up for no good reason. You put your head down a bit to hide the blush growing stronger on your cheeks.

“ I-i... Id love too” You stammer, forcing your blush away as you smile at him. He walks up to you and takes you hand in his, his expression more than happy, the dusting of a blush still present on his face. You two make your way outside, Deciding to walk to the address Kan had given the two of you.

The two of you walked in the bright streets, light danced from each hive and each building in the city. you looked up to the moon and little dusting of stars you could see from the city. The city was a beautiful place at night, thats what you had always though anyways. All Jake could think of was how beautiful you where, the light shining in just the right places, illuminating your face and the expression of awe in you eyes.

Soon enough the two of you had arrived at a (Type) Restaurant. Once seated you ordered a (drink) and looked through th menu. Deciding on a (dish) you sat back and examined the place. Definitely very fancy, although it seemed to have a type of adventurous look to it too. You liked it. After Jake had ordered it was small talk. Once the plates arrived you began eating, although unlike at home, you tried your best to look proper.

Across the table you could see Jake blushing a bit, looking nervous. You both ate quietly,  adding little comments here or telling a little story there. Once the both of you had finished eating the small talk started up again, Jake telling you about his adventures or you explaining the little shenanigans you got into living with the Maryams.

After all the stories where told it died down to quiet breathing. Jake looked like he was contemplating something, while you looked through the menu for a desert. Suddenly Jake had decided to speak up, clearing his throat her tapped your hand lightly.

Looking up at him you began feeling nervous, the blush from his cheeks spreading to yours. He stood up and took your hands in his, only causing the flush to brighten. You noted how he took a moment to gather his thoughts, which only helped make you feel uncomfortable.

“Uh... ____, we’ve been friends now for quiet a while now... and well... I just can help noting how beautiful you are... From appearance and personality... You’re one of my best friends and.... In my opinion i think we could be something more. You’re the sweetest girl iv ever met, and every time im around you i can feel my spirits rise and a little joy comes over me every time you smile... so i guess what im trying to say is that... (fn) (ln)... I love you.”

You stared in awe for a minute before coming to your senses. Leaning over the table you give him a short peck on the lips, you can feel him tense up as you do so. The blush that had rested on both your faces grew brighter with this action. You take a deep breath and smile.

“I love you too Jake.” You say in a hushed, shy tone. With that the boy smiles signature toothy grin. Walking over to you her pulls you into a hug, nuzzling your neck sweetly, you breathed in his scent. He pulled back and  helped you up.

“If you dont mind, i would like to show you something...” He smiles at you, resting his  Forehead on yours, you not and his smile grows. After leaving the payment on the table, the two of you leave. You made your way to a nearby forest. After a small trek into the middle, you come to a clearing, wild roses grew here, at least one bush of nearly every color. The stars shined brightly without the light of the city to cover them. A large rock sat in the middle, a prefect size to hold two people.

You followed Jake up to the rock, climbing it quickly. In a moment the two of you are sitting atop of it, watching the stars while cuddling in each others arms. Suddenly Jake pulls you into a passionate kiss, in which you melt right into. The two of you are locked together for a while, up until air becomes a problem.

“ ____ You taste so good..." He whispers huskily in your ear, sending a shiver up your spine.You pull away, panting, as he begins to kiss down your jaw to your neck.  You shiver at his touch as her begins to search for your sweet spot. The feeling a pure pleasure to you, once he finds it he attacks the spot, loving the moans you give him.  

Just then someone had decided to text him, you would have ignored it, accept for the fact that he had the silliest ring tone, making it hard for you not to giggle. When he answer it seems to be from your moirail, asking how the date went. After a short conversation Jake walks you home, the both of you cuddling close as you watch the cars pass by on the black roads.

At the door of your hivehold you exchange another passionate kiss, lasting  quite a few minutes before you exchange goodbyes. After a brief talk with Kanaya you slid into your recuperacoon, something you had to grow accustomed too after joining the Maryam family. You slowly fell asleep in the green slime, the only thing on your mind had been the boy you spent the day with.
